Electromagnetic Components, Spring Pressure Breaks, Spring Pressure Single-Disc Brakes, AC Line Spring Pressure Single-Disc Brakes, AC Line Electromagnetic ComponentsDouble-acting and single-acting spreader solenoids as well as electromagnetic clamps with short strokes and high magnetic forces are particularly suitable for use in lift and escalator drives and in industrial brakes for releasing block or drum brakes.

The application of an electromagnetic force brings about a linear movement from the initial position to the end position. The return movement is accomplished by external forces.

The solenoids can be installed in any position; if the force transfer is in axial direction they are maintenance-free.

The interior of the solenoid is largely protected against the penetration of dust and humidity by means of a sealing ring and a sealing plate.

The magnetic forces indicated are reached at 90% of the nominal voltage and in warmed up condition. The values for the switching times are valid for nominal voltage, warmed up condition and load with 70% of the magnetic force of the device.

The products are manufactured and tested according to DIN VDE 0580/07.2000.

Nominal voltage: 205 V DC

Holding solenoids are designed for an overexcitation voltage of 205 V DC and a holding voltage of 30 V DC.

Note:
Due to the change of the mains voltage from 220 V AC to 230 V AC and from selenium to silicon full-wave bridge rectifiers solenoids with coil voltages designed for 180 V DC will be overheated.

Switching frequency: 180/h

Duty cycle: 40% and 100%

If used with overexcitation an appropriate overexcitation rectifier must be selected. (Overexcitation factor 2:1 or 3.4:1) If an order is placed the voltage of the AC-mains as well as the overexcitation voltage and the holding voltage must be given. In these cases the standard duty cycle is 80%.

Protection class: according to EN 60529 / 09.2000:IP54

Thermal class: B
